LATAR BELAKANG:

Fakta dilapangan dimana masih banyaknya dijumpai pertukaran informasi bisnis yang dilakukan dengan cara yang konvensional seperti memanfaatkan banyak kertas serta pertukaran informasi yang non digital , telah menyebabkan ketidakefisienan dalam dalam bisnis, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan pertukaran informasi bisnis. Persoalan ini tentu harus kita cari jalan keluarnya agar efisiensi dalam transaksi bisnis dapat ditingkatkan.

Dokumen Elektronik  dan Elektronik Data Interchange (EDI) merupakan dua wilayah yang terpisah dari pertukaran informasi.  Konsep dokumen digunakan sebagai informasi yang ditujukan bagi persepsi manusia.
